Safeguarding
Keeping young people safe online and in the world of work.
Our approach
NextStep UK is a young-person-first service. We design every feature with safeguarding in mind — from what data we collect, to who can see it, to how advisers and schools can (and cannot) interact with a young person's account.
Reporting a concern
If you are worried about a young person's safety online or offline, contact us at safeguarding@nextstepuk.example.
In an emergency, always call 999.
For confidential support at any time, contact:
- NSPCC — 0808 800 5000 / nspcc.org.uk
- Childline — 0800 1111 / childline.org.uk
- Samaritans — 116 123 / samaritans.org
What we do
- All accounts are private to the young person. Advisers cannot see a young person's data without their explicit, revocable consent (adviser features are coming soon).
- We only take the information we need to run the service — see the privacy page.
- We never publish or share a young person's activity externally.
